Rules question: Sword of Nuln

If I hit a vampire with one blood with sword of nuln at 1 strength,
the vampire will obviously go to torpor, but will the vampire also
burn a blood?

Sword of Nuln, Equipment, 1 pool, Tremere
Unique melee weapon. Strength damage each strike. Vampires must spend
twice the normal amount of blood to heal the damage from this weapon`s
strikes.

IANLSJ but AFAIK "You must burn any/all blood to prevent as much
damage as possible".
Therefore, needs to burn 2 blood to heal 1 damage dealt. Burns 1
blood, fails to heal the damage and goes to torpor.
